I had a wonderful time enjoying the cozy lounge with free coffee and tea, and the quiet vibe near the beautiful canal was a great surprise. With a nice little gym and a chill area to relax, it really was the perfect spot to unwind. The only downside was the steep stairs, but it didn’t ruin my experience 😄.

The location of Rembrandtplein is fantastic, making it easy to explore nearby attractions. I loved the cozy vibe and the friendly staff. they were always welcoming and eager to help. Coffee available for purchase at the office was a nice touch. My room was a bit small and a bit dated. The bathroom was cramped. The shower didn’t work well and tended to spray water everywhere, which was frustrating. There were no toiletries like shampoo, just a soap dispenser by the sink. The stairs to the higher floors were narrow and steep, making it a bit challenging to carry luggage. Wi-Fi worked well, and the bed was comfy enough, but I really wished for better ventilation since it got quite warm. Despite the challenges, I enjoyed the quiet surroundings and the charm of canal views.

great character but needs minor improvements
The hotel radiates charm with its unique decor and cleanliness. The staff were exceptionally friendly, always greeting with a smile and making me feel welcome.
The bath had a slight drainage issue which made it less enjoyable.

The location proved to be unbeatable, making it easy to walk to all the main attractions. While the room was small and featured steep stairs without an elevator, it was functional for a comfortable stay. However, the towels were outdated, and the hotel could benefit from a makeover, adding some fresh decor and paint to enhance the atmosphere.

Centrally located. Easy to walk to attractions. Rooms are tight, and one window didn’t open well, making it hot inside. Overall, a decent budget stay.

The staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, which made our stay enjoyable.
The bathroom had plumbing issues, with the shower leaking and the toilet flushing inconsistently.

Had an amazing time with friends! We visited the flower market and took a stroll through the vibrant streets. The staff was super friendly, and the location was perfect for exploring. Just a heads up, some rooms might feel a bit tight on space, but it's a cozy spot perfect for crashing after a day out.
One night, it got really hot in our room and we could have used a fan because the windows didn’t open well. Just plan accordingly!

missingWrote a review on 13 Maycharming buildingcozy barrelaxed atmospherenarrow stairs
The charming old building has character, providing a unique ambiance unlike cookie-cutter hotels. With a cozy bar area open 24/7, convenient for late-night drinks and snacks, it offers a relaxed atmosphere to unwind after a day of exploring.
This place poses challenges for those with heavier luggage due to steep, narrow stairs with no elevator access, making it tough to haul bags up to the rooms. The rooms have limited space, and the heating can be inconsistent, leaving them chilly and a tad damp at times. The bathrooms are cramped, and the absence of basic amenities like kettle or hairdryer makes the stay less convenient. Although the central location puts you close to many attractions, the noise from nearby bars can disrupt a peaceful night, and the lack of daily cleaning or towel replenishments feels a bit neglected.
